Lokajobs is a job board that connects local businesses with job seekers. Lokajobs is not an employer, staffing agency, or party to any hiring decision, employment relationship, or workplace arrangement made between users.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you post and for keeping your login details private. You must be legally able to work or hire in your jurisdiction.
Job postings and language
Postings must comply with all applicable human-rights and employment laws, including the Ontario Human Rights Code, other Canadian human-rights legislation, and (for US postings) Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
Languages listed on a posting describe the languages genuinely used at that workplace or genuinely required to perform the job (for example, serving customers in that language). Language listings must never be used as a proxy to exclude applicants based on national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, race, or any other protected ground. Employers confirm this when posting. Lokajobs may remove any posting, or suspend any account, that we reasonably believe violates this policy or any law.
Content
You keep ownership of what you post and grant Lokajobs permission to display it on the service. Do not post content that is false, misleading, discriminatory, or unlawful.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" during our launch period. Lokajobs does not vet employers or applicants and is not responsible for the conduct of users, the accuracy of postings, or the outcome of any application or hire. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lokajobs's liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (currently zero).

Where your data lives
What you enter — your profile, applications, and postings — is stored in Lokajobs' database (hosted by Supabase) so that your account works across devices and employers can receive your applications. Access is restricted: employers can only see applications submitted to their own postings, and job seekers who turn off "Let employers find me" are not shown to employers. We use your information only to operate the service — never to sell or share it with third parties for marketing. To delete your account and data, email us at hello@lokajobs.com and we will remove it.
What we ask for
The minimum needed to connect you with an employer: name, contact details, languages, and availability. We never ask for — and you should never provide — a SIN/SSN, immigration status, date of birth, or ID documents. Report any posting that requests these.
Third-party services
Maps and address search are provided by Google Maps. When you use them, your requests are handled by Google under Google's own privacy policy.
